Goal   To grow in holiness as an FCC Sister,  attaining maturity by  integrating Prayer Life, Community Life and  Apostolic Life with a view to prepare  herself for the Perpetual Vow and enabling herself to dedicate for the service of the Church.

Objectives FCC formation of the temporarily professed sisters is organized into a  fourcycle programme and one year Common Juniorate. All our temporarily professed sisters complete the Cycle and Common Juniorate before their final profession.

Common Programme for the Juniors at all levels

Spiritual Direction, Spiritual Conference, Spiritual Diary and Review of one-hour meditation, Province-wise Get  together, Exposure Programme , Refresher course for one month including One-week retreat, Study of  FCC Margaregha, Examination Rule, Constitution and Directory of FCC, Annual Examination, Project Work , Paper presentation/ seminar/ symposium/ debate, Library notes,  Juniors Day combined with Parents Day.

Common Juniorate  

 Diploma Course in Theology

In order to promote Franciscan charism and to provide integral formation for our Junior sisters we have started a one year programme of Theological studies  as Common Juniorate course in 1974.  This course is affiliated to St. Josephs Pontifical Institute, Mangalapuzha, Alwaye  in 2012.  This programme lasts for ten months from June to March. Major part of the course is the study of Sacred Scripture, Theology, and Spirituality especially Franciscan Spirituality.  A few other relevant topics also are included, so that the participants can grow in holiness with wholeness, and participate effectively in ministries of the Kingdom of God.

Goal: Enable the Junior Sisters to assimilate and integrate the human, spiritual,
intellectual, social and pastoral dimensions of the FCC Charism, through deeper study, prayer and reflection and to consecrate themselves totally to Jesus in the heart
of the Church and Society.

Objectives: To provide theological foundation to the sisters and to give them a better orientation in religious life. To give them a solid basis in Theology, Sacred Scripture and Franciscan spirituality with special attention to the particular charism of FCC enabling them for  effective  in their ministries. To help the sisters to lead an integrated life  being in union with God, fellow beings and the whole of creation.

Duration of the course

This is a ten month course.  The academic year begins in June and ends in March. There shall be at least 180 working days.


Admission is opened to all religious sisters and to those who have completed at least three years of religious life. The minimum qualification for admission to this course is pre-university/ Higher Secondary Education or the equivalent. Applicants should have a working knowledge of English

A Diploma in Theology from the St. Josephs Pontifical Institute, Mangalapuzha, Alwaye, would be given at the end of the year to those who successfully complete the Course.
