According to the founding charism of the Congregation we started with the ministry of looking after ophans, destitute, the sick and unwanted lot. After 25 years of its origin it was felt that we should respond to the need of the hour and are started with Primary education which was found to be the dire need of the society. It was in the year the first school St. Anns School was started in Changanassery. In the same year sisters of the Thrissur Region started working in the St. Josephs School, Karuvannur. Thus primary schools were started in many places.Later, running Secondary Schools as well as Colleges were found to be a great need of the society. Now we have creches, nursery schools, primary, High Schools, Higher Secondary Schools and Colleges.Through this apostolate we communicate Gospel Values. True education aims at the character formation and personality development of the students in the pursuit of his ultimate goal and of the good of the societies. In the schools and colleges we conduct Religious and moral instruction classes and thereby cultivating in the children and youth a spirit of prayer, sense of discipline, responsibility, generosity and truthfulness.
About one fourth of the sisters are engaged in teaching at various levels especially in primary schools. Our schools play an important role in the building of the Nation with solid citizens. The Parent-Teacher associations in the schools are very much helpful to build up better society
The sisters are given due formation and training to work effectively in this field through retreat, colloquium, seminars and conferences and FCC Education Fraternity so that they may become an asset to the family, the society and to the nation. The sisters co-operate with the Government in the cause of non-formal education and literacy programmes and education of the tribals.
